COMMERCIAL & CIVIL RIGHTS LITIGATION
We represent a broad range of clientele, including individuals, employees, small business owners and large corporations, in a variety of litigation matters. No two litigation matters are alike and no two clients have the same needs and goals. Our approach is to help develop personalized strategies for you - whether we are resolving claims against you or advocating on your behalf.
We represent both plaintiffs and defendants and handle such matters as:
- Disputes regarding contract terms and payment
- Civil rights and discrimination claims
- Section 1983 claims
- Breach of fiduciary duty claims
- Employment disputes
- Trademark/Copyright infringement claims
- Real estate and landlord/tenant litigation
- Securities litigation & arbitrations
Some examples of recent matters we have handled include:
- Represented a photographer-client in an arbitration with her former agent. Our client was sued for breach of contract, and she counterclaimed for damages. We prevailed at the arbitration and were awarded counterclaim damages.
- We recently settled an employment discrimination case where our client's claims included religious discrimination and national origin discrimination.
- Represented an employee-broker in an NASD Arbitration who was being sued by a large financial institution for violating an employment agreement. We were victorious and the case resulted in a denial of a permanent injunction as well as a counterclaim for damages
- We recently settled a civil rights suit on behalf of our client whose claims included false arrest, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution
- Real estate litigation involving breach of a lease agreement
- Representing a corporate client in a commercial dispute involving breach of contract, unfair competition, fraud and conspiracy
